The Chinese Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) also noted that there is currently no vaccine or drug effective against HMPV. The symptoms of this disease also vary from person to person. According to the Chinese Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Dutch scholars first discovered HMPV in nasopharyngeal aspirate samples in 2001. The initial symptoms of this disease are respiratory disease, accumulation of mucus or phlegm in the upper part of the throat of children.

HMPV has spread in these states of India

‘Elderly and children need to take more care’

Former AIIMS director Randeep Guleria said, “There is nothing dangerous in this. This is not a new virus. If children have fever then parents should not send them to school.
